Research
Although QiGong therapy from traditional Chinese medicine is gaining increased popularity in the U.S., there has been a lack of scientific documentation of its effectiveness, and a lack of sufficient support of the research study of QiGong healing, which has seriously demoted its credibility. Master Hou has already helped lead two clinical studies on QiGong therapy (see below), and he is committed to further scientific examination of QiGong healing. Without thorough and well-conducted pilot studies of QiGong therapy, further definitive and expanded research may not be possible. If they do proceed, however, the benefits of QiGong therapy eventually could be brought to patients all over the country. Furthermore, if rigorous scientific study proves its health effects, it may be possible for health insurance to cover QiGong therapy.
Master Hou already has a strong success record treating a variety of problems including migraines, digestive problems, various cancers, infertility, back pains, injuries, high blood pressure and more. The next step is to measure these results employing the most rigorous scientific methodologies of Western Medicine, through the conduct of randomized controlled clinical trials to determine QiGong's efficacy. Master Hou has already done extensive work with the University of Maryland to plan further possible pilot studies of QiGong therapy, which would be conducted in partnership with Western doctors and hospitals. QRS is looking for people and institutions to support this work to make it possible. If you would like to sponsor a study, or if you are a medical professional who would like to be involved, please contact us.
